Ministry Spotlight on
Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary is a worldwide lay Catholic organization whose members are giving service to the Church on a voluntary basis. It was founded in Dublin, Ireland on September 7, 1921.
The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation in Mary’s and the Church’s work. The Legion sees as a priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual.
St. Mark has an active Legion of Mary ministry led by Rita Venema, with Fr Dominic Lee as spiritual advisor. Legion members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families and the sick, church cleaning, washing altar linens, giving Holy communion in nursing homes and to the homebound, evangelization by giving out rosaries, scapulars, miraculous medals, church bulletins and door to door visits.

Second Collection on May 28/29
Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC)
The Campaign helps the Church spread the Gospel message in the U.S. and in developing countries using modern media tools to inform, inspire, and enlighten.
Half of all donations to the CCC collected in your diocese stay in your diocese to support your local communications needs, such as radio and television programming and diocesan publications.
Archbishop Hartmayer invites support for the CCC in this video. Thank you for your generosity!
Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto project update

Engraved Bricks fund raising project
for the long term capital needs of St Mark
The official launch of the fundraiser will take place following the selection of Grotto contractor. We appreciate your support and encourage early participation before the start of Construction to avail of the lower prices!
The Tax Deductible Donations are as follows:
Pre-Construction: $100 for a 4” x 8” brick and $200 for an 8” x 8”
Post-Construction: $150 for a 4” x 8” brick and $250 for an 8” x 8”

We encourage everyone to visit the Chapel for Adoration. If you wish to sign up to be an Adorer for a specific time slot, please inform the parish office.
Signs are now placed outside the chapel to remind those outside
the Chapel that Adoration is ongoing.

The Archdiocese of San Francisco joyfully announces the ordination of David Arms, James DeWan, Ricardo Escobar, Thomas Kramer, Christopher Major, Chris Mariano, Guillermo Quant, Mark Scafidi, Iwan Soegiharto, and Russ Wertenberg called to serve the people of God as Permanent Deacons.
The general public is invited to witness this celebration as Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone ordains these men into their commission. This event will also be livestreamed on YouTube under Archdiocese of San Francisco channel as an added convenience.

VOCATION CROSS
We invite all St Mark families
to participate in 2022.
At the Sunday 9:45 am mass, parishioners will take turns bringing the Vocation cross home to pray the Vocation prayer & Rosary daily, for a week.

If you wish to participate, but unable to attend the 945am mass, please indicate in the sign up sheet and we will make arrangements.
