This year, the feast day of Saint Francis falls on a Sunday. Within the Archdiocese of San Francisco, the feast is elevated to a Solemnity as Saint Francis of Assisi is our archdiocesan patron.

Cor Update
There will be NO Cor on October 5. The Knights of Columbus meet that evening. Cor will resume Monday, October 12 at 7:00 pm in the parish center.
Saint Mark’s first Cor meeting was September 28 last year so we are beginning our second year sharing fraternity, prayer, and spiritual formation with men of the parish! Men all need brotherhood and many of us should have more of it. That will be our subject on the 12th.
Our challenge is to show that underneath the events of history is a story written by God and guided by divine providence. Cor is one of the most effective ways for men to take up this challenge. Are you ready to take up that challenge? Join us at Cor. It is important for you as a man of Saint Mark parish.
Knights Table
The Lord has enabled us to do great things. And he is drawing men into the Knights. More than 2.2 million men now count themselves as Knights of Columbus. Last year, we welcomed more than 105,000 new members. That’s the most growth we’ve had in more than a century — since the surge that followed the First World War.
It has now been 20 years since we welcomed our first brother Knights in Poland. At the time, it was our first international expansion in a century. Our entry into Poland was soon followed by Ukraine, Lithuania, France and Korea. In June, the Supreme Officers initiated the charter members of Council 19000 in Spain.
We are ready to welcome new men into Saint Mark council. Talk to Deacon Rich Dizon or any knight today.
COMMUNITY EVENT

Sixty-nine attendees were at the event last Sunday afternoon. Speaker John D'Ana of CALMATTERS discussed some helpful resources for voters at calmatters.org. Go to calmatters.org and have fun taking the quizzes about the Propositions.
